Campus Ministries’ sponsored service trips
Twenty-nine Goshen College students and faculty are heading to two different sites in Florida to volunteer with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) and respond to the damage caused by Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan in 2004.
The trip was prompted by an interest in helping those whose lives were inalterably changed by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita earlier this fall; yet in working with MDS, it became clear that there was still great need for volunteers in Florida and that they could help broader relief efforts in this important way.
