Now in its fourth year, “A Festival of Carols” will feature performances by the Goshen College Chorale, Chamber Choir, Men’s Chorus, Women’s World Music Choir, Orchestra and Brass Ensemble. Shout For Joy!, a Community School of the Arts children’s choir, will also perform, as will several Goshen College Music Department faculty members. The program will feature arrangements of several traditional Christmas carols, as well as Scripture readings and works by Handel, Vaughan Williams, Halsey Stevens, Mack Willberg and James Clemens. The audience will be asked to join the choirs to sing several carols during the performance.
The Goshen College Flute Choir, directed by Rebecca Hovan, will provide pre-concert music in the Sauder Concert Hall lobby. The concert is also being filmed for broadcast on public television.
All performances are warmly open to the public. Patrons are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Tickets for the concerts are $12. They are available at the Goshen College Welcome Center by calling (574) 535-7566.
