A fun – not frightening – Halloween adventure;

Merry Lea offers alternative to holiday frights Oct. 27 & 28

 

WOLF LAKE, Ind. – Lightning bugs, great horned owls, skunks and other nocturnal animals will be out at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College (located near Wolf Lake, Ind.) for the 16th annual Enchanted Forest, an alternative to Halloween. The event takes place at the Merry Lea Farmstead off U.S. 33 at the junction of State Road 109 and County Road 425 W. from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28. This child-friendly and environmentally-friendly evening consists of a guided hike to meet and interview the night-time animals in their natural habitat. It also includes entertainment and refreshments, and costs $2.50 per person. Tickets are sold at the barn. If you have questions, call (260) 799-5869.
