Alum to perform piano recital Oct. 27

Jeffery Weaver ('03) is a piano performer and teacher currently living in Rochester, N.Y.
The recital program will include Bach's "Italian Concerto, BWV 971," Rachmaninoff's "Prelude in B-flat Major, Op. 23 #2," Liebermann's "Gargoyles, Op. 29," Brahms' "Fantasies, Op. 116" and Schubert's "Sonata in A minor, D784."
Weaver is a piano performer and teacher from Rochester, N.Y. He is a student of Rose Shlyam Grace and coaches with Barry Snyder of the Eastman School of Music. As a student at Goshen, Weaver studied with Professor of Music Matthew Hill and Associate Professor of Music Beverly Lapp. His master's degree is from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), where he studied with Robert Satterlee. He is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music as recognized by the Music Teachers' National Association.
Weaver has almost a decade of teaching experience with piano and music students of all levels. His students consistently perform successfully in recitals, festivals and the National Certificate Program (Royal American Conservatory Examinations), frequently achieving the "Honors" or "High Honors" designation. Much of his teaching was in Bowling Green, Ohio, where he and his wife owned and managed a community music school of over 80 students. He is also in demand as a judge at festivals and examinations, and he has upcoming solo piano recitals in Indiana, Ohio and New York.
Tickets for the recital cost $7 for adults and $5 for seniors/students. They will be available at the door one hour before the recital.
