GOSHEN, Ind. – Children will have the opportunity to explore animal night life at the 18th annual Enchanted Forest at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College (near Wolf Lake, Ind.) on Oct. 24 and 25, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The child-welcoming and environmentally-friendly evening is an alternative to Halloween and consists of a guided hike to meet and learn about nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. There will also be entertainment and refreshments.

"I love that this is an opportunity for a family to go on a night hike to learn about local animals in a non-scary atmosphere," said Carol Good-Elliott, environmental science educator at Merry Lea.

Merry Lea's Farmstead is located outside of Wolf Lake, Ind., off U.S. 33, at the junction of State Road 109 and County Road 425 W.

Tickets for the event are $2.50 and can be purchased at the barn. If you have questions, call (260) 799-5869.
