Call for shirts decorated by survivors of domestic violence
GOSHEN, Ind. – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Goshen College's Social Work Action Association will again organize a Clothesline Project on the college campus. This is a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. The shirts will then be hung on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of violence against women.
The group is inviting shirt submissions from the survivors of violence in the wider community. Shirts can be dropped off anonymously from Sept. 22 to Oct. 2 in the collection boxes placed right inside the connector of the Westlawn and Kulp buildings on campus or outside of the Welcome Center in the Union Building. Questions or concerns can be directed to Leah Lehman at leahbl@goshen.edu.
