"The Goshen College Business Department has successfully delivered numerous editions of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University program to college students and local companies," said Associate Professor of Business Jonathan Geiser. "We are now making this program available to church members, college employees and the general public."
The course costs $129 per family, including course materials. The class location will be in the college's Newcomer Center, Room 17, and classes will run from 6-8 p.m. each Wednesday from Sept. 23 to Dec. 16.
This program is designed for all individuals and families who would like to travel the path to financial stability and peace of mind. Dave Ramsey teaches the material in an entertaining and easily understood way by means of a series of DVD presentations, followed by small group discussions facilitated by Goshen College business professors and invited topic experts.
"This is a powerful program that changes lives," Geiser said.
The program includes a lifetime membership in Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and access to a multitude of online materials and financial tools. Some of the topics covered in the course include: how to save, relationships and money, budgeting, getting out of debt, communicating with creditors, taking control of purchasing decisions, insurance, negotiating for bargains, investing, planning for retirement and college, career planning, real estate and mortgages, and the power of generous giving.
