Business health check seminar offered for local managers
GOSHEN, Ind. – Keeping a business healthy, profitable and sustainable is no easy task, especially in this financial climate. Goshen College's Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Education (CBEE) is offering a six-part interactive seminar for senior managers to assess the health of their businesses. The weekly breakfast sessions will explore some of the key challenges in achieving and maintaining a healthy business.
The sessions will be held each Wednesday from Sept. 22 to Oct. 27, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., in the Goshen College Church-Chapel Room 300, 1700 South Main Street. Register early.
The objective of this seminar is to help participating businesses to assess the current state of health of their own organizations and to share ideas and best practices with each other on how to address the common challenges faced in critical areas. In each seminar session, representatives of several prominent local companies have agreed to share how they have addressed some of the particular challenges of that business area or activity.
Sessions include:
Sept. 22 – Vision and Direction
Sept. 29 – Business Structure
Oct. 6 – Resource Management: Employees
Oct. 13 – Resource Management: Customers and
Vendors
Oct. 20 – Resource Management: Capital
Oct. 27 – Building in Flexibility
The six-part seminar costs $240 for one participant seat, or $180 per seat if registering for two or more seats. Fee includes continental breakfast.
