Individual tickets available for concerts in the Goshen College Performing Arts Series
GOSHEN, Ind. – Opportunities are still available to secure individual tickets for the Jan. 26 Smothers Brothers performance and Choral Terrace tickets for all other concerts in the 10th anniversary of the Goshen College Performing Arts Series. The 2007-08 season will begin Sept. 28 and will feature performers who have appeared as part of the series over the past 10 years, and were voted to return by audience members.
Individual tickets will be going on sale for the Jan. 26 Smothers Brothers program and Performing Arts Series 10th Anniversary Gala for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Tickets will be sold for $55, $50 and $35 for the event. There will be no Choral Terrace seating available for this concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
Only Choral Terrace seats, located behind the stage, are available for all other concerts and will go on sale two weeks before each performance. Choral Terrace tickets will be available for the following concerts at the corresponding dates and prices:
· Chanticleer - $12, available for sale Monday, Sept. 17 (concert on Sept. 28)
· Brubeck Brothers with Taylor Eigsti - $8, available for sale Monday, Oct. 1 (concert on Oct. 12)
· Sweet Honey in the Rock - $15, available for sale Monday, Nov. 5 (concert on Nov. 17)
· John McCutcheon and Carrie Newcomer - $8, available for sale Monday, Jan. 28 (concert on Feb. 8)
· Canadian Brass - $15, available for sale Monday, March 17 (concert on March 29)
· Swingle Singers - $12, available for sale Monday, April 7 (concert on April 18)
As of now, regular seating for all shows in the series, excluding the Smothers Brothers, are unavailable, but if any tickets are returned for resale they will become available at the box office at Sauder Concert Hall in the Music Center one hour before each concert, at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased through the Goshen College Welcome Center Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.-4 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (574) 535-7566 or e-mailing welcomecenter@goshen.edu.

Chanticleer
Known around the world as the premier men’s a cappella ensemble, Chanticleer is described as “breathtaking in its accuracy of intonation, purity of blend, variety of color and swagger of style” by the Boston Globe. Grammy award-winning Chanticleer recordings have garnered critical acclaim and reflect the group’s broad versatility in choral music, from Renaissance to jazz and more. ($35A, $30B, $15C)
Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 – 7:30 p.m., Sauder Concert Hall
Brubeck Brothers with Taylor Eigsti
The Brubeck Brothers and pianist Taylor Eigsti enjoy a collaborative style described as “… jazz in its finest form: exciting, expertly played, full of life, supremely musical and energetic” by Audiophile. Dan and Chris Brubeck continue their father Dave Brubeck’s legacy in the jazz world, and along with the young rising star Eigsti, promise a dazzling and invigorating performance. ($25A, $20B, $10C)
Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 – 7:30 p.m., Sauder Concert Hall
Sweet Honey in the Rock
The Grammy award-winning ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock performs their unique a cappella blend of gospel, blues and jazz rooted in the African-American tradition, their trademark sound for more than three decades. As both artists and cultural activists, Sweet Honey’s songs are commentaries on pertinent issues of the day, never failing to inspire their audiences. This will be their third visit to Goshen College as part of this series. ($40A, $35B, $20C)

10th Anniversary Gala (Add-on): Smothers Brothers
Described as American icons, the Smothers Brothers have been in show business over 49 years, and with a unique blend of comedic and musical talents, these irrepressible brothers have made a sweeping impact on diverse generations of fans. YoYo Man (Tom) and the Voice of Yo (Dick) travel and appear with the Smothers Brothers in concert, adding to the pure unadulterated joy they bring to audiences of all ages. This special gala will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Performing Arts Series. ($55A, $50B, $35C non-series subscribers; $45A, $40B, $25C series subscribers)

John McCutcheon and Carrie Newcomer
John McCutcheon and Carrie Newcomer, both hailed as singer-songwriters and storytellers for our time, are rooted in the folk tradition and masters of their craft. Performing individually and also collaborating for this concert, the audience is sure to be captivated by the variety and unique talents of each, and will take melodies and thoughts with them that linger long after the performance. Canadian Brass
Enjoying international acclaim, Canadian Brass has performed and toured for more than 35 years and recorded over 60 albums with their wide-ranging repertoire that spans four centuries. Consummate performers all, this amazing quintet manages to infuse spontaneity and humor into their virtuosic performance of diverse works, securing their reputation as an audience favorite. Swingle Singers
With five Grammys to their credit, the Swingle Singers continue a 45-year tradition of delighting audiences with their innovative style of vocal performance. Typical of the group’s enthusiastic reviews is the Los Angeles Times’ “Everything about the Swingle Singers is flawless,” which recognizes the impeccable musicianship and elegant delivery by the current ensemble of eight talented young singers.
