Goshen College business students awarded for their exceptional achievements

GOSHEN, Ind. – The Goshen College Business Department recently recognized five senior students with honors for their academic achievements and excellent work in the field.

  • Elizabeth Martin, a business major from Wakarusa, Ind., received the Wall Street Journal Award, given annually to the most outstanding student in the business department overall based on academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities on campus and character. Martin is the daughter of Mike and Sue Martin, attends Olive Mennonite Church and is a 2003 graduate of Bethany Christian High School.
  • David Haire, an accounting major from Evansville, Ind., received the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Society Award given to the top senior accounting major. Haire is the sonof Dennis and Margaret Haire, attends Crossroads Christian Church and is a 2003 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School.
  • Mary Jo Martin, a business major from Wakarusa, Ind., received the Business Award. She is the daughter of Mike and Sue Martin, attends Olive Mennonite Church and is a 2003 graduate of Bethany Christian High School.
  • Adam Yoder, an accounting major from Goshen, received the Accounting Award. He is the son of Doug and Vicki Yoder, attends College Mennonite Church and is a 2003 graduate of Goshen High School.
  • Jonathan Yoder, a business information systems major from Bruning, Neb., received the Business Info Systems Award. He is the son of Jack and Ruth Yoder, attends Salem Mennonite Church and is a 2003 graduate of Shickley Public High School.
