GOSHEN, Ind. – Voices-n-Harmony, Goshen College's gospel choir, will present its spring concert in the Music Center's Sauder Concert Hall on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature new director Ron Bishop, and the choir will be joined by the Judah First Chorale and a full band.

A portion of the proceeds from this concert will go to the Patrice Penny-Henderson Medical Fund, established to aid in the recovery of Voices-n-Harmony's director Patrice Penny-Henderson, who is experiencing medical problems that have prevented her from directing the ensemble this year.

The choir includes Goshen College students, faculty, staff and community members of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds who sing to proclaim the power of God's love. Voices-n-Harmony is an associate choir of the Goshen College Music Department, Community School of the Arts and Multicultural Affairs Office.

Bishop is an ordained minister and a member, associate minister and worship leader at Faith Apostolic Praise and Worship Center in South Bend, Ind. He is the founder and executive director of Judah First Ministries and Gospel Music Productions of South Bend, and he is also the minister of music and worship leader at Agape Christian Ministries in Paterson, N.J. He has been a featured soloist on a number of recordings and has appeared as a spotlight artist on the nationally televised Bobby Jones Gospel Show in Nashville. He has been noted by ministry leaders throughout the country as a prolific minister of music, praise and worship leader, and conference psalmist. He has also conducted music conferences and seminars around the country.

The Judah First Chorale is swiftly rising to take its place in today's gospel music industry. The group features 13 multi-talented singers who deliver the Good News in a delicate balance of well-seasoned voices and tight harmonies. The group has been singing together since 1995 and their first live recording, Exalted Praise, was released in 2005.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the door one hour before the concert and cost $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free for GC students with ID.
