A FUN, WEATHER-RELATED CAMPUS EVENT

WHAT: Goshen College “Shorts Day” Celebration. We will gather as a campus community to welcome the arrival (we hope) of warmer temperatures, spring and brighter moods. Highlights: Free ice cream, prize drawings, a student vs. faculty Frisbee game, musical performances and the wearing of shorts — regardless of the weather. This “Shorts Day” is a result of the proclamation President Jim Brenneman made on the Jan. 24 “Weather or Not Day” celebration.

WHO: President James E. Brenneman, members of the President’s Council and scores of Goshen College students, faculty and staff in a photo/video-friendly environment.

WHEN: Thursday, April 12, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Beside the Adelphian Fountain — just east of the Administration Building — on the beautiful, and relatively warm (and dry), Goshen College campus.

WHY: Goshen College is committed to academic excellence and is dedicated to the development of informed, articulate, sensitive and responsible Christians. We also like to have a good time and celebrate life — more than enough reason to gather for this event.

Weather advisory: The celebration is on regardless of the weather.

All news media are invited and welcome to attend. For directions, visit: www.goshen.edu/aboutgc/map.php.

Please contact the Goshen College Public Relations Office if you have questions about the celebration by calling Jodi H. Beyeler, director of the campus news bureau, at (574) 535-7572 or e-mailing jodihb@goshen.edu.
