Goshen College will turn off the lights, for an hour
GOSHEN, Ind. – On Saturday, March 28, Goshen College will be participating in the worldwide movement Earth Hour, a global event created to symbolize that everyone working together can make a positive impact on climate change.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m. local time, millions of people will be shutting off their lights all around the world. Goshen College is joining this effort by turning off most of our outdoor lights for one hour. Students will be encouraged to turn off room lights and other electrical devices to make the campus as dark as possible. A bonfire, live music and telescopes will be part of the planned event. Faculty and staff are invited to participate with their families either at their homes or on campus.
