Goshen College Spring Open House to feature chance to meet with faculty, students

GOSHEN, Ind. – Students interested in attending Goshen College will get a chance to meet with faculty members and students, stay overnight in a residence hall and watch a play or track meet at a Spring Open House on March 28-29.

Vice President for Enrollment Management Lynn Jackson said the Spring Open House is the first time high school juniors are extended a special invitation to visit campus.

“We invite prospective students to meet faculty and students and to find out what makes our academic offerings and our campus unique,” said Jackson. “The best way to do that is by visiting during our open house, and experience campus life first hand.”

The Spring Open House will begin at 8 a.m. Friday, March 28 in the lobby of the Goshen College Music Center.

Students who visit will have the opportunity to:

·    Meet with professors about academic programs and coaches about athletic teams.

·    Learn about the college’s unique Study-Service Term program in which students can study for a semester in such countries as China, Jamaica, Peru and Tanzania.

·    Enjoy meals with GC students and stay overnight in a residence hall.

·    Take a tour of campus.

·    Chat with students about campus life and the variety of ways to live out Christian faith at the college.

·    Attend a the Spring Mainstage production of “Absolutely! (perhaps)” by Luigi Pirandello.

·    Cheer for the Maple Leafs at the Goshen Invitational track and field meet.

For those who cannot attend the open house, individual visits can be arranged. Beyond the traditional tour, students can attend a class, talk with professors, hang out with current students and meet with coaches. Families also are welcome to join their students.

Goshen College’s $25 application fee will be waived for seniors and transfer students who bring a completed application when visiting campus.
