Goshen College accounting students offer free tax assistance

GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen College accounting students, with supervision from Professor of Accounting Michelle Horning, will prepare 2010 Federal and Indiana income tax returns for free for low-income residents in Elkhart County. This service is part of the IRS' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

In the past this service was offered at Salvation Army, but it will instead by offered on the Goshen College campus in Newcomer Center Room 12 on Monday mornings from Feb. 14 to April 4.

Appointment times are available from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., and can be made by calling Linda Rouch at (574) 535-7450.

The college's Newcomer Center is on the south end of campus on the east side of Main Street and is accessible by turning into the college driveway, just opposite of Westwood Road. Parking is available behind the building.
