Men's Chorus to perform concerts on East Coast spring break tour

The choir's tour schedule, from Feb. 21 to Feb. 28, includes the following programs (free and open to the public):

Led by Goshen College Assistant Professor of Music Scott Hochstetler, the choir's worship service program features pieces composed at Goshen College and around the world.

Hochstetler directs Chorale and Men's Chorus, and teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy and conducting. He holds a doctorate of musical arts from Michigan State University, a double master's degree of music from the University of Michigan, a master of arts from Western Oregon University and a bachelor of arts degree from Goshen College. Hochstetler has worked as music director at Western Mennonite School in Salem, Ore., and has taught workshops and applied music classes at the University of Michigan—Flint and Corban College (Ore.). He has performed opera and oratorio roles and given recitals in Indiana, Michigan and Oregon. His scholarly writings on Vaughan Williams have been published by The Choral Journal, and he is currently co-writing two books on choral diction for Earthsongs publications.
Goshen College's Music Department features four choral ensembles, an orchestra, a jazz band, an opera scenes program and a growing chamber music program.
