Goshen College welcomes new employees for 2014-15

Goshen College welcomes new employees for the 2014-15 school year, some of whom were hired and began their duties earlier in the year.

NEW TEACHING FACULTY

Cheryl Caffee is an assistant professor of nursing. She is a 1996 graduate of Purdue University and earned a master’s degree in nursing from Ball State University in 2005.

Barbara Clem is associate professor of graduate nursing. Clem is a 1983 graduate of Goshen College and is a 2011 graduate of Goshen College’s Family Nurse Practitioner master’s program.

Suzanne Ehst is associate professor of education and director of secondary education. Ehst is a 1997 graduate of Eastern Mennonite University and earned a master’s degree from Goddard College in 2005. She is completing her doctoral degree from Western Michigan University.

Amanda Flickinger is assistant professor of American Sign Language. Flickinger is a 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.

Andrew Hartzler is associate professor of accounting. Hartzler is a 1998 Goshen College graduate and earned an MBA from Liberty University in 2013.

Crystal Maggard is an instructor of nursing. Maggard is a 2013 Goshen College graduate.

Peter Miller is instructional systems analyst and assistant professor of informatics. Miller is a 2011 graduate of Goshen College.

Michelle Milne is assistant professor of theater. Milne is a 1995 graduate of Goshen College, and earned an MFA from Towson University in 2005.

Long Tran is associate professor of education. Tran is a 1990 graduate of Miami (Ohio) University, and earned a master’s degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1993, and a doctoral degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2000.

Kendra Yoder is assistant professor of social work. Yoder is a 1996 graduate of Eastern Mennonite University. She earned her master’s degree in 2002 and doctoral degree in 2012 from the University of Missouri.

The new adjunct professors this year are: Jennifer Beer, adjunct professor of psychology; Aileac Deegan, adjunct professor of social work; Elise Derstine, adjunct professor of communication; Jennifer Eberly, adjunct professor of English; Christopher French, adjunct professor of music; Marcia Good, adjunct professor of history; Greg Halling, adjunct professor of communication; Tiffany Johnson Bussberg, adjunct professor of nursing; Jennifer Labash, adjunct professor of education; Patricia Oakley, adjunct professor of mathematics; Eliza Stoltzfus, adjunct professor of theater; and Micah Towery, adjunct professor of English. 

 

NEW ADMINISTRATIVE FACULTY AND STAFF (.5 FTE OR HIGHER)

Ashley Bryan is a custodian in the physical plant.

Stephanie Burkholder is a custodian in the physical plant.

Joel Gonzalez is interim women’s head soccer coach. Gonzalez is a 2008 Goshen College graduate and previously served as assistant women’s soccer coach at GC and at Goshen High School.

Niles Graber Alvarez is a content marketing specialist. He is a 2014 Goshen College graduate.

Tamara Gulewicz is a custodian in the physical plant.

Terry Jones is a custodian in the physical plant.

Justina Kidder is a custodian in the physical plant.

Jennifer Kline is the co-controller.

Kristen Kolter is an enrollment counselor. She continues to also serve as head softball coach.

Jill Liechty is the admission inquiry and outreach manager. She is a 1990 Goshen College graduate.

Juan Lora is a skilled trades technician in the physical plant.

Elizabeth Miller is the administrative assistant for the Institute for the Study of Global Anabaptism. She is a 2006 Goshen College graduate.

Tony Miller is the sports information director. He is a 2014 Goshen College graduate.

Micah Miller-Eshleman is the web designer/developer. He is a 2014 Goshen College graduate.

Lisa Meyers is interim coordinator of K-12 programs.

Arron Patrick is men’s head soccer coach. He is a 2009 graduate of Bethel (Mishawaka) College, where he has also served as an assistant coach since 2010.

Linda Piersimoni is manager of enrollment operations.

Lourdes Quezada is a custodian in the physical plant.

Kendra Ramseyer is the graduate and continuing studies recruitment and outreach specialist. She is a 2005 Goshen College graduate.

Jeannette Shown is an enrollment database manager and analyst.

Lee Snyder is interim executive vice president/provost. Snyder earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon, a master’s degree in English literature and linguistics from James Madison University and a doctoral degree in American and Victorian literature from the University of Oregon.

Leanna Teodosio is a mailing specialist and assistant resident director. She is a 2014 Goshen College graduate.

Corrine Thompson is the administrative assistant to the vice president for institutional advancement.

Hans Weaver is an enrollment counselor. He is a 2013 Goshen College graduate.

Sonia Williams is the administrative assistant to the registrar/cashier.

Shena Mae Yoder is a custodian in the physical plant.

Matilda Yoder is the library services assistant. She is a 2012 Goshen College graduate.

 

EMPLOYEES IN NEW POSITIONS

Richard Aguirre is the director of corporate and foundation relations. He previously served as the director of communications and marketing.

Josh Gleason is the interim athletic director. He previously served as sports information director.

Fritz Hartman is the Harold and Wilma Good Library director. He previously served as head of technical services.

Becky Horst is the interim registrar. She previously served as grants coordinator, convocation coordinator and associate registrar.

Adela Hufford is the acting director of enrollment operations. She previously served as business process analyst.

Cynthia Kaufmann is interim director of conferences and events. She previously served as assistant director of conferences and events.

Dan Koop Liechty is the director of alumni and career networks. He previously served as the director of admissions.

Gilberto Perez is the senior director of intercultural development and education partnerships. He previously served as an associate professor of social work.

Linda Piersimoni is the manager of enrollment operations. She previously served as the data entry coordinator for admissions.

Launa Rohrer is the dean of students. She previously served as assistant dean of students.
