General Information and Registration


Fees

Tuition is $250 for teachers, and $150 for students.  "Early-bird" registrants who pay in full by May 15 (postmarked) will receive a discount tuition rate of $220 for teachers and $125 for students.  All other registrations must be received by May 30 (postmarked) and must include a $50 deposit.  Part time registration is $75 per day.  Room and board in recently renovated and air-conditioned facilities on campus for the week is $275.  Private rooms for teachers are $35 extra.  "De-bunking" in dorm rooms can be requested in advance for an additional $5 fee.  There is a $12 fee for use of the Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center (swimming pool, work-out rooms, jogging areas, racquetball and basketball courts).

Special graduate student rate

Full-time graduate students in the field of piano performance or piano pedagogy may attend for a special $125 tuition rate.

Room and board

Rooms may be occupied Sunday afternoon through Friday morning.  Meals will be served cafeteria-style Sunday evening through Friday morning.  The college will furnish two sheets, a blanket, pillow, two towels and two washcloths and a personal bar of soap.  You may wish to bring extra soap and additional towels.

Students who live in the immediate Goshen area may live at home and pay for meals eaten on campus on a pay-as-you-go basis.


Arrival, registration and departure

Registrants staying in college dormitories should plan to arrive on campus between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, June 15.  Report to the lobby of the Music Center (a map will be sent to you) fr room assignments and the completion of registration.  Those not lodging in the Goshen College residence halls may complete their registration at 8 a.m. Monday, June 16 in the lobby of the Music Center.

The workshop schedule officially starts on Monday morning and runs through the Thursday evening concert.  The room-and-board package includes Sunday evening buffet supper, Thursday evening lodging and Friday morning breakfast.  Parents may pick up their children either after the concert on Thursday evening or after breakfast on Friday.

On Sunday evening, June 15, a recital will be presented by members of the piano workshop staff.  Plan your travel arrangements to include this special opening event.


Goshen College Music Center


The Piano Workshop and Academy will take place in the state-of-the-art Goshen College Music Center on the Goshen College campus.  This 68,000-square-foot building features an inviting lobby, 1000 seat concert hall, 300 seat recital hall and art gallery, as well as numerous practice rooms, classrooms and faculty studios.
