Besides editing The Mennonite Quarterly Review, John D. Roth is Professor of History and Director of the Mennonite Historical Library at Goshen College. He received his PhD in Early Modern European History from the University of Chicago in 1986 and has been teaching at Goshen College since 1987. His most recent books are Beliefs: Mennonite Faith and Practice (Herald Press, 2005) and Choosing Against War: A Christian View (Good Books, 2002). John is married to Ruth Miller Roth; he and Ruth are the parents of four daughters, Sarah, Leah, Hannah and Mary. They are members of Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship. Roth is currently working on a history of European Mennonites in the 17th and 18th century. |
