2009 Eco-Career Day at Merry Lea

April 26th - 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

Merry Lea is sponsoring an Earth Day event that will help your students learn ways they can make a difference through their lives. On May 13th from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm Merry Lea is hosting an eco-career day free of charge for high school students and teachers.

Students will hear presentations from professionals in various environmental fields.
Students will also have an opportunity to meet one on one with a wide range of environmental professionals and examine displays from their organizations.

Landscape Architecture
County Naturalist
“Green” Architect
Forester
Nursery Director
Soil Conservationist

Students will also have a chance to participate in some hands on field research demonstrations such as water testing and bird banding.
