| Workers are drilling one of the 200' bore holes for the ground source heat pump system, which will heat and cool the cottages. After the hole is drilled, two one-inch diameter pipes - joined at the bottom - are placed in the hole. Bentonite, a type of clay, is then pumped down the hole to seal the pipes in place and ensure good conductivity with the earth.
