Why come to NatureFest?

- A family-friendly atmosphere for people of all ages.

- A wide range of nature activities all in one spot: canoeing, geocaching, 5-K race, birding, ecology, sustainable lifestyles, hiking and more.

- Great opportunity for youth groups. Group rates available upon request.

- New this year: Bats with Bob, Nature Photography, Planting a Wetland Restoration, Medicinal Plants of Indiana.

- Camping without cooking! All you need are sleeping bags and a tent; leave breakfast and lunch to us.

NatureFest Schedule

This year, we are trying a new date. In the past, NatureFest has been the first weekend in May. This year, we have moved to the first weekend in June. Let us know how this change works for you.

Friday evening, June 6
6:30 p.m.                     Registration opens; set up your tent
8 p.m.                          Merry Lea Camp Fire and Sing-Along
9:00 p.m.                    Star-gazing
                                    In case of clouds: firefly hunt/night hike                                            
Saturday, June 7
7:15 a.m.                     Early morning birding hike
8:00 a.m.                     Turtle Trot 5-K run (register separately)
8:00 – 9:00 a.m.         Breakfast open
9:00 a.m.                     Welcome and announcements
9:15 – 10:45 a.m.       Hike or Workshop #1
11 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.  Hike or workshop #2
11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.    Lunch open
1:00 – 2:30 p.m.         Hike or workshop #3
2:45 p.m.                    Going Bats with Bob and Ann Walton, Bat Rehabilitators
