Walls are being prepared for drywall on the second floor of cottage #7. (December 16, 2005)

Ceiling slats are being installed in the rooms on first floor of cottage #7. The spacing of the tulip poplar boards dampens the sound in the room. The brown paint creates a shadow effect in the gaps between boards. (January 5, 2006)

The vaulted ceiling of cottage #3 is completed. The ceiling slats are made of local tulip poplar lumber and are spaced 3/4 inch apart for acoustical purposes. (December 29, 2005)

Cellulose fiber fills all wall cavities as both an excellent insulation and sound barrier. (December 16, 2006)

Carpet tiles have been laid in a bedroom of cottage #3. The tiles - made by Interface - have some recycled content in their backing and are recyclable. (January 24, 2006)

The adhesive for the carpet tile is environmentally friendly

Again, the adhesive for the floor tile is environmentally safe since it is VOC (volatile organic compound) solvent free.

Painters work on clear coating the tulip poplar trim and painting the walls of cottage #4. January 24, 2006

The clear coat varnish is VOC compliant, which means minimal off gassing and almost no odor.  The high quality paint is VOC free, which creates a better indoor air quality.
