BSU - Black Student Union

The Black Student Union of Goshen College exists to help foster and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive community for Black students as they experience the "joy of the journey" at GC. Our aim is to serve and unify the campus by crossing the color boundaries and portraying Black students and Black people in a more positive light than that of mainstream media. Through public service, academic support, personal support, and a sense of community, the BSU strives to enrich the experience of Black students, and that of the general student population. Our mission is to assist students of African descent in attaining a quality and meaningful education at Goshen College and inspire pride in our racial and ethnic heritage. We would like to challenge our membership and our club officers to seek equality and fairness on the GC campus and in their individual lives both in the way they are treated and the way they treat others.
