Here's a basic guide on how to use the new crestron system in the multimedia rooms.
You can use this interactive guide if you're using Internet Explorer in Windows
(you will need to install Active-X when asked.)
Begin by pressing the "HOME" button
(located on the top left side of the touchpanel)
Next press the "Turn System ON" button
to turn on the projector,
or to listen to an audio CD only,
press the "Audio Only" button.
To use the Desktop:
From the source bank touch the Computer icon, which resembles a desktop computer.
To use a Laptop:
From the source bank touch the Laptop icon and connect your laptop to the wallbox or cable cubby interface.
(There may be a VGA cable in the equipment rack drawer).
To use the DVD player:
From the source bank touch the DVD icon, which resembles a disc and film.
Use the playback controls on the touchpanel to play your DVD. Switch to "Cursor" to bring up controls for navigating in the disc
menus.
To use the VCR:
From the source bank touch the VHS icon, which resembles a VHS tape.
Use the transport controls on the touchpanel to play your video tape. Switch to the "Keypad" to bring up controls for viewing
cable TV channels.
To use the Document Camera:
From the source bank touch the DocCam icon.
There are no touchpanel controls for the document camera.
Other sources:
Some rooms have additional sources to choose from, such as a Record Player or Minidisc Player. Touch the corressponding
icons to use those pieces of equipment.
When you are finished teaching:
Press the "HOME" button again and
touch "Shut System Down" to turn the projector off and raise the
screen. Please remember to also lock the cabinet door and place
the wirless mouse back on the charger.
