Tip:  Saving A File In PDF Format

GC computers have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, so they can save a file as a PDF file.

  • On a PC, choose Print from the File Menu.
  • Click on the drop-down list of printers and choose Adobe PDF.  Click OK.
  • A Save PDF File As window will open.  Type in the file name you wish to give the PDF file.  Click on Save.
  • On a Mac, choose Print from the File menu.
  • Click on the PDF button and choose Save as PDF.
  • A Save window will open.  Type in the file name you wish to give the PDF file, deleting the .XLS extension and replacing it with .PDF then click on Save.

Acer 17 It's Christmas in August for Goshen College employees.  ITS recently took delivery of 200 17" LCD monitors to replace aging CRT monitors on employee desktops and the race is on to get them all placed before the beginning of the fall semester.  Project leader David Hodges set a goal of placing 20 monitors per day through mid-August to get the job done.  Response from the campus community has been enthusiastic. In addition to the crisp, bright picture and small footprint, the monitors are expected to save up $3,000 per year in electricity and cooling costs.
