Tip:  Vertical selection in MS Word

In Microsoft Word you can select a column of text (a vertical selection) by holding down the Control-key (Windows) and clicking and dragging.  This can be a huge timesaver when editing columnar data.

 

Jobs Available in ITS

Information Technology Services has a variety of different kinds of jobs available for students, depending upon the time of year and our needs at the time. To apply for any of these jobs, you need to start by filling out a basic application here on the ITS Web site (see below).

During the school year we employ in the following areas:

  • Labs (to help students working in our labs)
  • Office (general office work, printing on our vax printer, some word processing or spreadsheet)
  • Tech Services (hardware maintenance, installation)
  • Various other:
    • Special projects
    • Mac Support
    • Seminar assistance

In the summers and sometimes over other breaks we may need part- or full-time help in the above or other areas, including whatever projects are underway:

  • Upgrading campus hardware
  • Upgrading campus software
  • Training
