Burning DVD +/-R and CD-R

Here is an easy general guide on how to burn a DVD+/-R or CD-R with Nero on our lab PCs.

1. Insert the DVD +/-R or CD-R

2. Nero StartSmart should automatically start, if not find it under Programs -> Nero -> Nero StartSmart.

3. The Nero StartSmart screen should appear. Right now CD is the media chosen.

1. If you want to burn a DVD, choose DVD.
2. We are going to choose Data. That is generally what you would burn. Choose other modes as appropriate.
3. Click Make Data Disc to continue

4. You will reach the next screen. Click ADD to choose what files or folders to burn from.





5. Choose the file or folders your would like to burn onto the CD or DVD. Once you are done, just click ADD.
Click FINISHED when you are done. Click NEXT if you are ready to proceed to the next step.





6. If you wish, you can add your own Disc name. Nero automatically detects the burning speed for you. But if you encounter errors while burning, try reducing the writing speed. Click BURN when you are ready to burn the disc. That's it. It should take from less than 1 minute to 15 minutes depending on the size of your data.
