Are tickets required for the commencement ceremony?
No tickets are necessary to attend the ceremony. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis with doors opening at 2:15 pm.

My family/friends are coming from out of town. Where can they locate information about lodging and find directions to campus?
Travel instructions, including accommodations in Goshen, can be found at www.goshen.edu/aboutgc/map. For accommodations and restaurants throughout Elkhart County, visit the official website of the Elkhart County Visitor Center.

Where should guests park?
Guests may park in the lots next to the Rec-Fitness Center, Music Center, or College Mennonite Church (or in any other area designated for visitor parking).

What is appropriate attire for graduating students at commencement?
Academic attire (gown, cap, and tassel) is strongly encouraged and is available for purchase in the GC bookstore at a reasonable price. Academic attire must be black. Individuals who strongly prefer not to wear cap and gown must wear business or dress attire and shoes suitable to the occasion. International students may wear formal attire fitting with their country.

Does Goshen College print “official” announcements? 
Yes, announcements suitable for mailing are made available to graduates in early March for a nominal fee.

Is child care provided during commencement weekend?
No, Goshen College does not provide this service.

When will I receive my diploma?
Commencement participants will receive diploma covers in the ceremony. The actual diploma will be mailed in early June since official degree conferral won’t be until the end of May. Diplomas for August graduates will be available in the Registrar’s Office during the month of August and, if not picked up, will be mailed to your permanent address. Student accounts must be paid in full to receive a diploma.
