Common Name Indiangrass
Scientific Name Sorghastrum nutans
Height  5-7' 
 Sun/Shade Full sun
Soil moist to dry, but grows in any well drained soil.  Best in deep floodplain soil, but very versatile. 
Color Green leaves in summer, apricot in fall.  Late summer produces a golden brown spike. 
Notes Invasive.  Feeds birds. Good food in summer, cover in winter. Pack ground before seeding.
