Sun/Shade Very shade tolerant. 
Leaf Color Green in summer, yellow in fall. 
Soil wet to average,well drained.  pH 4.5-6.5  Does not tolerate drought.
Disease Susceptibility  Infrequent problems. 
Wildlife Value Very high - songbirds, gamebirds, white-tail deer
 Notes All parts edible - spicy aromatic flavor. Difficult to transplant; coarse deep laterals. Yellow flowers April - May.
