Leaf Color Green in summer, yellow, orange & red in fall.
Soil well drained, moist to dry 
Disease Susceptibility Infrequent blight, leaf spots, crown gall, black knot, caterpillars, Japanese leafhopper, scales 
Wildlife Value Intermediate - gamebirds, songbirds, mammals.  Attracts Luna Moths.  Edible to humans.. 
 Notes Suckering forms broad thickets - needs to be thinned out regularly.  Very dense. Sensitive to salt.
