Making a Gift
An endowed scholarship fund at Goshen College can be started with any amount but a plan needs to be established to build the fund to $50,000 within five years or through a planned or estate gift. |
Awards can be made from the income (approximately 5% per year) received from the endowed fund investments once the value exceeds $25,000 but generally income is reinvested until the $50,000 minimum goal is met. Then awards of about $2,500 per year would commence. |
National recognition
GC was listed among the top 32 colleges and universities recognized for outstanding study abroad programs in the 2008 U.S. News and World report "America's Best Colleges". In addition, Goshen was ranked 6th nationally for the percentage of graduates studying abroad, with 85%. Study Service Term units have gone to 22 countries, current locations: China, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Germany, Senegal, Peru, Jamaica and Cambodia.
