Jim is a graduate of Iowa Mennonite School (1973), and Goshen College
(1978), and received his M.B.A. from Temple University in 1982. After
working as a high school teacher and accountant, Jim came to Goshen
College in 1990 as a Professor of Accounting. He has been in his
current position as VP for Finance since 1997. He is responsible for
the overall fiscal management of the college, the college budget and
its business affairs. He also supervises the following areas of the
college: Accounting, Physical Plant, Human Resources, and Auxiliaries,
such as Dining Services, Bookstore, the Print Shop and Office of Conferences & Events. Some of Jim's
hobbies include biking, camping, watching baseball, and spending time
with his wife and 3 children.

Deanna Risser
Manager of Business Operations/Budget Analyst
Deanna graduated from Bluffton College in 1993 with a major in business administration, and completed her M.B.A at Indiana University South Bend in 2007. After working at Camp Friedenswald
(MI) for 5
1/2 years, she came to Goshen College in January, 1999. In her current
role, she supervises the Printing/Mailing and Conference & Events departments, and assists the vice president for finance in all areas under his supervision. She also serves as minute-taker for the Goshen College Board of Directors meetings. Deanna's interests include reading, being in nature, watching
sporting events, investing, and sustainability.
