In La Florida, a small coffee cooperative started by refugees of the country's civil war, senior Celeste Kennel-Shank, right, interviews Mennonite Central Committee service worker Linford Martin (center) and Estanislao Lopez Pablo (left) about the permaculture practices that the community employs. La Florida, located near the capitol of San Salvador, uses organic methods to tend and harvest coffee as well as the vegetables they grow and has established other ecologically friendly practices.
