Here to learn? Good.

Simply put, fair trade coffee provides stable incomes and sustainable work schedules to those who produce the product. Many people are well aware that a cup of coffee contains caffeine, but in addition to this each mug of coffee contains a complex history. By purchasing fair trade coffee, the consumer casts a vote for an economic system based on building relationships and concern for providing viable work.

We wish to extend our thanks to the people at Equal Exchange for allowing us to post their in-depth account of fair trade coffee. You can read it here.
