The staff of the Office of Conferences and Events (OCE) is available to assist and advise the sponsor of events on the Goshen College campus with the planning and presentation of an event.
Responsibilities of the OCE:
- Support a coordinated, decentralized approach to events planning at Goshen College as well as act as a resource for faculty, staff, and students on how to plan and carry out events at Goshen College.
- Oversee major events, providing event management support.
- Consult regularly with representatives from various offices and service providers about ways to strengthen the campus’ culture of events planning.
- Provide general guidance of the campus in adherence of the principles of event planning
- Providing supportive information on the presentation of events at Goshen College.
- Provide various instructional events / workshops / materials pertaining to best practices in event planning.
- Provide event resources to event planners such as recommended event vendors, recommended caterers, etc.
- Manage all aspects of external publics using Goshen College spaces for their event.
