Dining Hall meal tickets for event-related activities that include off-campus publics should be coordinated through the Office of Conferences and Events.
Java Junction
Java Junction is a student run coffee cafe located on the first floor of the Connector. The faculty supervision comes from the Business Department. Java Junction also caters for small events at Goshen College. They are available for catering during the academic year, while classes are in session. You may place your catering by submitting your request
College Mennonite Church Food Service (contact through OCE)
College Mennonite Church Food Service provides catering services only in the Church-Chapel building. All engagements for CMC Food Service should be coordinated through the Office of Conferences and Events.
Tips for planning a catered event:
- The Office of Conferences and Events works closely with the caterers in coordinating needs for events on campus. These services can be requested on the Event Registration Form and OCE will assist with coordination of the services needed.
- Have confirmation of the room reservation before contacting your caterer.
- Select the menu at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.
- A minimum of 10 business days is generally needed for contracting with a caterer.
- A guaranteed number of guests is required ten (10) days prior to your function. Plan accordingly as RSVP deadlines are set for guests to the event.
- Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the function. Failure to do so may result in being full catering charges for the event.
- Some locations may result in additional charges due to difficulty of food and equipment delivery.
- Ensure quoted prices include all necessary equipment and server support for an event.
- Most caterers are happy to accommodate special diets (diabetic, low fat, lactose, vegetarian, or vegan meals) with advance notice. Please give at least 48 hours notice for these special diets.
