Administrative Faculty Position Announcement (posted 8/28/14)

Goshen College seeks a half-time (.50 FTE) Reference and Instruction Librarian to begin in October/November 2014. In addition to working at the reference desk and providing basic library instruction, this position will serve as professional liaison to 6-8 academic departments and is responsible for instruction, collection management and targeted information services to students and faculty working in those disciplines.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Library Science required. Hands-on understanding of data communications, standard desktop PC applications, and library automation tools required. Experience in training or teaching adults preferred. The position also requires strong public service and communication skills, technical competence, basic budgeting skills, scheduling flexibility, and the ability to organize and prioritize a demanding workload. Must be committed to the mission of the college.
