Goshen College seeks a full-time Assistant Controller to be responsible for a wide variety of general ledger accounting tasks, account reconciliations, and analyses. The Assistant Controller will assist in the year-end closing and audit process with external auditors. In addition he/she will be responsible for student account and loan collection and compliance with federal regulations. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and will supervise three accounting office staff (accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashier). The salary for this position is $35,690 and it is eligible for full benefits.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, minimum of 3 years related work experience preferred. Candidate should be familiar and comfortable with automated accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Word. Ideal candidate must have strong accounting and analytical skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and a quick learner. Ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. The abilities to relate well to all kinds of people and work in an open office environment are essential. Bilingual in English/Spanish is desirable.
