Duties of Board Members
• Understand and promote the mission of EEAI
• Participate in the establishment of policies, goals, and objectives of EEAI
• Provide leadership for long-range planning and goal setting
• Solicit funds through memberships, donations, sponsorships, grants, and fund-raising
• Assist in developing an annual budget
• Keep financial records for activities as required by the Treasurer
• Adhere to the constitution and by-laws
• Attend all board meetings, either in person or by proxy
• Submit reports and assignments as agreed
• Lead committees as assigned
• Assist with the planning, promotion, and implementation of the annual meeting
• Recruit members, promote EEAI within other organizations and at events, and represent the organization in a positive manner

• Adhere to the constitution and bylaws
• Keep financial records for activities as required by the Treasurer
• Report to the board in person or by written communication
• Recruit members for your committee and represent EEAI in a positive manner
• Committee Chairs are invited to attend board meetings as ex-officio (non-voting) members

Student Enrollment Committee
• Directed by an appointed chair
• Strives to encourage student chapters of EEAI at colleges and universities

Membership Committee
• Directed by the Vice President with an appointed chair or VP could be chair
• Maintains and sets up a display about EEAI at other meetings
• Initiates and implements projects with direction from the board including:
     Depositing dues
     Sending membership cards with new member packages
     Keeping membership roster current
     Mailing renewal notices
     Marketing to promote membership
     Offering rewards and recognition for recruitment
     Developing and improving display package
     Providing current membership applications and including in each CREED
     Coordinating a membership directory
     Responding to membership inquiries by the board including tracking how new members were recruited
• May establish regional or special interest groups
• Seeks to expand and support membership

Activities Committee
• Directed by the President Elect with an appointed chair or PE could be chair
• Initiates and implements projects with direction from the board

Program Committee
• Guided by the President Elect with an appointed chair
• Develops appropriate program for conferences
     Determines a date and place
     Reserves lodging and meeting rooms
     Makes arrangements for meals
     Plans a schedule of activities
     Contacts speakers
     Finds a keynote speaker and makes travel/lodging arrangements for special guests
     Design publicity, including a registration form by may
     Organizes displays and book sales
     Solicits items for raffle
     Sends thank you notes
     Prepares budget and submits bills for payment

Finance Committee
• The Treasurer is an ex-officio member of this committee
• Initiates and implements projects with direction from the board
• Plans ways of raising funds, including grant writing, sales, soliciting donations
• Receives grants and bequests
• Receives gifts of property appropriate for use by the organization
• Prepares an annual budget
• Suggests special appropriations
• Organizes raffles and auctions for the annual meeting

Auditing Committee
• Consists of three members appointed by the President
• Reviews the financial records of the organization annually and reports findings to the board

Nominating/Awards Committee
• Directed by an appointed chair
• Locates members willing to be nominated for office and board seats, considering suggestions made by members
• Presents this slate to the board at least 90 days before the annual meeting
• Collects information on each nominee for publication in a CREED issue which the membership receives at least 60 days
  before the annual meeting
• Prepares a ballot and instructions for voting, with a deadline that allows the membership 30 days for return of ballots
• Determines election results and notifies the board at least 10 days before the annual meeting
• Announces election results at the annual meeting
• Solicits nominations for awards and relays information to the board
• Orders plaques with the award winners’ names and brings these to the annual meeting
• Informs the historian of all award winners and officials names and dates of service

Publicity Committee
• Directed by an appointed chair
• Writes news releases
• Coordinates and communicates with other organizations, such as HASTI
• Arranges for photos to be taken at annual meetings and other events and makes these
  available to the historian and newsletter editor
• Initiates and implements projects with direction from the board

Listserv Committee
• Reviews all submissions to the EEAI portion of the NAAEE listserv within 5 business days of submission to eeai@naaee.org

Web Site Committee
• Maintains the content of the web site reviewing it weekly for accuracy and timeliness
• Reviews the site monthly to keep content and design fresh and user friendly searching for new ways to make the site a
  marketing tool for EEAI

CREED Newsletter Group
• Publishes the CREED newsletter quarterly
     Solicits articles of interest to the members
     Composes and prints and mails the newsletter in a timely manner
     Prints notices of the annual meeting, nominations for officers and board members, and proposed changes,
      to the bylaws received by the membership at least 60 days before the annual meeting
     Includes applications for membership
     Retains copies of each issue for archival purposes

• Judges Indiana entries
• Determines prizes
• Publicizes contest and winners

Historical Committee
• Collects and organizes records of EEAI’s activities, awards, officers, and other business
• Works with publicity committee to retain copies of any publications
• Works with the publicity committee to create power point presentations or other displays explaining the history of EEAI
• Maintains a scrapbook containing photos and articles of interest, along with written comments from the membership
• Displays the scrapbook at annual meetings and other activities
• Initiates and implements projects with direction from the board
