Educational Technology Resources

Here will appear tips, readings, links to various resources relating to teaching and learning and educational technology. But what is educational technology?

The ERIC Thesaurus uses this definition

educational technology

"Systematic identification, development, organization, or utilization of educational resources and/or the management of these processes--occasionally used in a more limited sense to describe the use of equipment-oriented techniques or audiovisual aids in educational settings"

Can books and chalkboard then be considered "educational technologies?" as well as PowerPoint or Blackboard. Sure! Whatever technology contributes to your goals for teaching and learning.

In this instance educational technology will refer mainly to electronic media, but there may at times be references to other technologies such as books and chalkboards.
