I think that today more than any other time in my 60 yrs. on this earth I can see GOD at work, and giving us all a chance to see that the things of this world. The large corporations, retirement funds, bank accounts, stock markets, and our personal possessions that we put so much focus on can give us no hope, no guarrantee of the future. There is only one thing we can put our hope in, and that is the Lord JESUS CHRIST and the promises he told us about through his word. I'm gald that there are colleges out there for our youth that teach GOD'S word, and send out devotions like you do to help give us all alittle hope each day during the lenten season. Thank You for all you do, and may GOD bless you all.

I am a graduate of GC - 1948 - now 88 years old. At times during my life time I have often reflected on how much I appreciated my years at GC and how much the daily chapels and different teachers(such as Pres. Miller, John Wenger, Harold Bender, Dean Kreider, John Moseman, Guy Hershberger and others) encouraged me and deepened my faith. I longed for those inspirational moments that I experienced over and over again. Your Christmas and now Easter as well have done just that and I want to say thank you. May the Lord contilnue to bless GC for the guidance it has given the Mennonite Church.

Thank you for the gift of these Lenten Devotions. Today I shall use my hands to tutor the 9 year old neighbor after school and then to greet those who attend our Ash Wednesday service in the evening.

This is the second time within a week that I have been reminded 'I would say by the Lord himself, that "my life is in His hands" & that I have a lot more trusting & resting to learn to put into practice.
Thank you Goshen college I look forward to my lenten feast,& thank you for your inspiring me often in the past.

This is the third year I've received Goshen devotions, first Advent and then both Advent and Lenten the last teo years. I find them fresh and meaningful. I enjoy seeing through the lenses of both faculty and students in these meditative reflections. Thank you for making these available. A Baptist by upbringing and a Presbyterian (PCUSA) by current membership, I have for years appreciated the thoughtful spiritual strength of anabaptist traditions.

Today I shall use my hand to serve God. I will open the door for others at the post office when I go for my mail and in silence ask God's blessing on others. I will use my hands to greet others this evening at our church meeting - with hugs and by serving a cup of tea. May my hands be received as I offer them. SHALOM

Thank you for these devotions. Life seems really hectic and scary at the moment. These devotions are just a good way to help find stillness and remember that "our lives are in his hands."
