Garce it is so nice to have you pop up on my computer. :)
The first day of spring is so anticipated at our house. It brings renewed energy and hope. I am a creature of light and so your references to being nourished by the light is so appropriate. The light of Jesus is nourishment to the weary soul.
Thanks for sharing Grace!

I was struck by this line "We have a fantastic opportunity: to quit clinging to our doubts, criticisms and fears, and fully submit to the possibility of change and rebirth in our lives through God." May we all stop clinging and surrender to God.

In response to Ann's comment "tho so far we have not discovered life in light and soil’s essence, I believe that will happen."

What is the essence of light?
What is the essence of soil?
Modern Biology already knows soil and light are life giving.
I think such a discovery would be impossible because ultimately the essence of Life is God, who is beyond the natural world.

What beautiful and encouraging word for this season of the year! Thank you for letting your light shine in the darkness, Grace.

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp-stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

Grace...
I have so enjoyed the devotions provided by faculty, staff and students at Goshen. Your contribution today especially touched my heart. God's blessings to you from Alabama!

Thank you. These are profound thoughts. Indeed light is the essence of the universe ( and maybe soil too? ) tho so far we have not discovered life in light and soil's essence, I believe that will happen..... maybe not in my lifetime.
