Devotion

Spring slowly creeps around the corner and change comes. What changes in our life do we feel or see coming around the corner? Change is not bad. It is something waited for, something hoped for, something despised, and something feared. But what does God have to say about change? How much of it is His? How much change do we allow to be His? We tend to rely so much on each other and what we can do for each other to either help, provoke or dismantle change. How many of us look to God to be able to trust, believe in and receive change?

I personally have had my struggles with looking to God. But there comes a time in each of our lives when we will have to continue doing what we are required, even though we feel change and maybe even see change around the corner. We must not panic, become anxious or scared, but trust in God that he will honor our faithfulness and commitment to the road he directed us on before. When change comes he will also direct us to it and through its newness. What blessings we will receive when we let God be God!

“If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” – Job 14:14 (KJV)
