So true. I find myself caught up in my own shortcomings and the reassurance of God's good grace is comforting and helps me push on.

Your comments bring hope in a loving God, despite all our shortcomings - whose love becomes even more obvious because of our shortcomings!

I just want you all to know how helpful these refections have been to me this Lent! I read them at work. I'm a 56 year old father of two and I work for a helicopter company and I'm a US navy veteran. The students at Goshen seem to be filled with the Holy Spirit and mature in their writing. It took me until I was about 51 years old to understand what Heather writes, " This shows me that God loves and accepts us even before we mess up in life." God Bless you all for this outreach; even you all probably don't know who it reaches and how powerful the messages can be. Even the only other comment here from Beth resonated with me today. Gracias.

After reading and sitting with this passage, the phrase. "pray that you will not go through the time of trial" kept running through my head. Jesus is on the cusp of his trail, and even though he is the son of God, he still doesn't want to go through it.. even He! I have a friend whose husband recently passes, and she has a new baby. I watch her, help her, pray for her, as she is going through her time of trial..and she is making it! We will all have our own "trials", and I pray for the strength to face, accept and go through it, just like my friend, and Jesus.
