2009-2010 WGCS Student Station Manager

Print out this application. Fill in your personal information and prepare typewritten responses to accompanying questions on a separate paper or you can copy and paste the text to submit electronically.

Return your completed application and written responses to WGCS General Manager, Jason Samuel, in campus mail or via email by Friday, March 6.

Since 1958 only 51 students have earned the privilege to lead WGCS at its highest student level as station manager. More than leadership, it is also a position of service and responsibility.

The station manager works with the WGCS General Manager on the overall sound, operation and quality of the station. Additionally, the station manager will delegate and supervise the responsibilities of other student staff leaders and operators. The term of station manager is for one academic year beginning in the summer when applicable, or with the upcoming fall semester.

The WGCS Student Station Manager receives a scholarship from the Phil Smith Endowment through the Communication Department.
