"We affirm that Jesus is Lord. Our life together is a response to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We joyfully order our lives in the belief that he calls us to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves."

"Conversations and interaction with community members there was the most important part of the trip for me.  I found them willing to talk openly and honestly about their faith experience as well as their experience in community.  I was challenged to consider the effects of my decisions on my neighbors both locally and around the world."-Amy

"We learned how to paper-mulch sweet potatoes and make butter, we taught basic addition to children who's English vocabulary includes farm animals and colors, discussed issues from modern health insurance to "radical discipleship" and laughed a whole lot."-Leah

"They accepted a group of 12 from our college in to our community and treated us as members. We are forever grateful for the many lessons we learned form them, as we explored difficult issues in discussion sessions.  We also helped tutor the refugee kids.  We helped with work around the garden and with maintenance projects and the likes.  Through soccer games and bonfires with music we celebrated the cultures of the refugees, they were glowing, smiling and laughing and we could do nothing but just that.  We were all embracing the fact that we are part of a common humanity; living and breathing, not divided by false categories society has conjured up to divined us.  In a safe, non-threating environment were we could celebrate life, not live in fear of one another."-Benito
