For the past number of years Goshen College has not paid for a recycling program in the student dorms, so the current program relies on student volunteers. Please consider joining the recycling corps--the more people we have volunteering, the less work there is for everyone!
Each volunteer will take a one-hour shift once every other week working with a partner to carry recyclables from one dorm to the bins at the southwest corner of campus. This is usually accomplished quickly and is a good opportunity to take a break from studying and get some fresh air. If you are interested in helping, please contact Bethany Loberg (bethanyrl).
Where to Recycle
Recycling bins are available on each floor in the following dorms: Yoder, Kratz, Miller, Kulp, and Coffman. Please respect the recycling bins by following the labels, not throwing trash in the bins, and cleaning recyclables before depositing them. Ecopax will not accept responsibility for disposing non-recyclables placed in the recycling bins, so please follow the guidelines to help keep the recycling bin areas tidy. The recycling volunteers appreciate not having to sort out junk and handle sticky items!
Residents of the senior apartments and of small group housing are responsible for their own recycling.
