Exploring Christian Ministry
From Explore Ministry
A calling. A passion. A vocation. A career. The last of the Renaissance professions. However it’s described, pastoral, camping, or service ministry offers a fulfilling way to make a living—and a life. Being a minister draws together all of who you are—mind, heart, body and soul—in the amazing work of healing the world.
How can I find out about whether ministry is for me?
Try some things—academic courses, church-based service work mission trips, leading worship, inquiry programs. Spend a few weeks following your minister around. Talk with people in your church about how they see your gifts. Take a course in theology. Pay attention to where and when you feel most alive.
